Alumni: Library membership

Resources for Alumni who join the Library

Residents of Australia

Join the Library or renew online

Note: Login to the Monash University online shop is not your library login, if it is the first time you are making payment this way, you will need to create an account.

Borrowing rights (Victorian residents)

  • up to 30 items for 2 weeks
  • Renewals up to a period of 14 weeks per per item (All items, except those in high demand and those requested by other users, are automatically renewed)

High demand and restricted loan and/or reserve items cannot be borrowed; journals cannot be borrowed. Videos, CDs and other special materials may be able to be borrowed depending on the loan permissions applying for different collections.

Using Search, all Library members can usually renew their books if no-one else is waiting for them or place a hold on a book on loan or at another campus. If you have an item that is overdue, you won't be able to borrow or renew loans. Fines will apply.

Database access

Selected databases are available for remote access to Monash alumni who have purchased the appropriate level of library membership.

Alumni can only access databases via the links on this page.

Conditions of access: these resources are strictly available to the registered alumni library member for private educational purposes only. Your password is not transferable. The Library reserves the right to withdraw usage privileges if these conditions are not met. These resources will be available from most internet-enabled computers, but the Library cannot guarantee this in all circumstances due to security settings outside of our control.
