Searching the Monash Altmetric Explorer

  •  Altmetric Explorer for Institutions imports information about Monash authors and research outputs from the Monash Pure researcher profile portal, so it is important to ensure your profile is correct and up to date.

  • The Altmetric donut number is a weighted score

  • Altmetric.com tracks different types of research outputs

  • Altmetric tracking is reliant on research outputs having a "digital home" with a permanent identifier

  • Example of a non-traditional research output deposited in monash.figshare to generate a scholarly identifier

  • This 3D animation research project comprising images and video has been deposited into the monash.figshare repository.
  • This means it has now been allocated a permanent digital object identifier (doi) so that it can be cited and shared across online platforms.

  • A list of Sources that Altmetric.com track for mentions and collection methods that are used.
