Journal Impact Factors

The Impact Factor is a measure of how often the average article in a particular journal has been cited within a set period of time, and is used as a quantitative tool for evaluating journals.

Scopus Journal Analyzer will provide an impact factor for individual journal titles. This figure is for International journal of culture.

Journal Citation Reports (JCR)
Journal Impact Factors can be found in Journal Citation Reports (JCR) through the Web of Science database. Choose from the 'Science Edition' or the 'Social Science Edition'.

Finding 'Cited By' information

To find Cited By information (ie. which articles have cited a specific article) use the following:

Scopus (Elsevier) This link opens in a new window
The 'Cited By' information will be listed on the right-hand side of the screen after finding the relevant reference.
Arts & humanities citation index (A&HCI) via Web of Science This link opens in a new window
Click on 'Cited Reference Search' (under the yellow tabs at the top of the screen).
Enter the details to search for the reference.
Note: To find the correct journal title abbreviation click the 'Journal Abbreviation List' hyperlink underneath the 'Cited Work' field.

Google Scholar
The 'Cited By' information will be listed under the records in the results list.
Note: Google Scholar includes Books in the 'Cited By' information, so results may differ from those in other databases.
