Image storage and sharing

The following sites offer free image storage space for users, and a range of functions that allow you to share, tag, and manage your personal image collections.

Please note that these sites only allow users to upload content they have created (your own photographs or image products). Images scanned from books, downloaded from the web or databases, or acquired from other sources, should not be uploaded into image sharing sites.

ARTstor

  •  web-based library subscription; restricted to Monash staff and students
  • upload personal images (1000 MB limit)
  • access ARTstor content of over one million images
  • create image groups and folders incorporating ARTstor and personal images
  • annotate images and image groups
  • share image group URLs with students for study, tests, or projects
  • export image groups and accompanying information into Powerpoint
  • view images online, via Offline Image Viewer (OIV), or in Powerpoint

Lynda.com: Learn new skills

Lynda.com is a constantly growing library of more than 1400 courses and instructional 82,000 videos in streaming video format. Subjects covered range from 3D + Animation; Audio; Business including Office and Google software; Design; Developer; Photography and Video; and Web and social media. Videos use screenshots, narration, live action, smart boards, charts and graphics, audio and include captioning.
