Finding books

Author search

Using a basic search enter the authors name and the term criticism or the title of a work and criticism.

For example: Proust and criticism. Then on the first results page use the facets in the left column under refine results, to select books, journal articles, theses, etc.

Subject search

To find items by subject in Search (the library catalogue) use Advanced search, select in subject and in Material Type select books or whatever you require.

Your subject keywords could apply to literary concepts, movements, genres or periods.

On the left of the results page use the Refine results facility.
