Hood, R. (2006). Slavic languages [map]. Retrieved from 'http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Slavic_languages.jpg'.
This map illustrates the distribution of the Slavic languages in the areas where it is either recognized as an official language, or spoken by a majority. It also shows, in stripes, the areas where a language was spoken before it got extinct or, the regions where it is best represented even if not spoken by a majority. Slavic languages are now spoken by minorities in a large number of places, but that distribution will be ignored on the map for graphical convenience.
