Posting to a forum

In most instances, you can post replies to existing discussions in a forum or start your own discussion.

Forums may allow various permissions such as: only being able to post once, requiring a response to a post before you are able to see other postings, and so on. Make sure you read the instructions provided with a particular forum to know the response expected.

Depending on the type of forums set up the display of forum topics and posts may also vary. For example all posts in an Open Forum can appear as anonymous if your lecturer has enabled that feature.

More information on using text editors is available.
