A guide for academics on using library expertise and resources to enhance their MOOCs

Welcome

This Library Guide is designed for academic staff who are already working with the Office of Learning and Teaching to develop free online courses also known as Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) at Monash University.

This guide provides information on how the library can assist you with copyright, resources, and skills assessment. Please click on the tabs to find information and contacts for these areas.

Before you start

If you have an idea for a free online course and would like to work with the Office of Learning and Teaching to develop a course proposal, go to Monash open online courses for further information.

Once your course is in development, the Library can provide expertise and resources.

Contacts for staff developing a MOOC in other subject areas

Librarians and learning skills advisers are based at each library and specialise according to the areas of education and research offered on the particular campus.  To find librarians and learning skills advisers specific to your subject area, go to library contacts and search by faculty team or branch library.

If you need permissions for any copyright material for your MOOC, please contact the copyright adviser .
