Altmetrics

Almetric is a database that enables researchers to track the online attention their work receives beyond traditional citations. This attention is visually summarised by a badge known as the Altmetric donut. Each colour in the donut represents a distinct type of attention such as news outlets, policy documents, blogs, or social media.

The library has a subscription to the Altmetric Explorer for Institutions dashboard. Register and access here https://resources.lib.monash.edu/eresources/access/altmetric.html

The Altmetric.com donut will appear next to research outputs in the Monash public myResearcher profiles if the output has attracted altmetric attention.

The Altmetric.com donut is available to view in the Monash Library search for articles with an attention score.

For research outputs that have been deposited in monash.bridges, are copyright compliant, and have been shared across social media platforms, the Altmetric.com donut will be displayed with an attention score.
