Finding items in the library

The Monash libraries use the Dewey Decimal Classification scheme to organise books and journals. The most efficient way to locate material in the library is to use Search. However the following may be useful as a guide when browsing the shelves.

To find items by subject using Search, select Advanced Search, and change "any" to "in subject" in the top left box. Enter the subject and the results should display as a list. Subject searches have been conducted on the links below. Click on them for the results by subject. The following are examples of subject headings:

Over 7000 Indonesian monographs published between 1945 and 1968 from the Cornell University Watson collection are available on microfiche.
