What is a query?

A query is a word or phrase you specify in the search panel to request information. You can do the following with queries:

  • View the current session's queries and results.
  • Save a query from the current session in order to use it later.

These options can be accessed from the Searches tab in the My Account space.

This session's queries

This folder lists all of the queries that you have performed in the current session. You can re-run the query by clicking on the query name.

Note: If you are not signed in, your queries are available only during the current session.

Saved queries & alerts

If you are signed in, you can save a search query by clicking the Save query link, which appears above the facets on the Brief Results page. Once saved, you can view and reuse the search from the Saved Queries & Alerts list.

Note: You need to sign in to see results in the Searches tab.
