French Studies: News & media

News sources

The Library has numerous current and historical French newspapers with varying coverage. The most notable current newspapers held in print or subscribed to online are below.

For a more comprehensive list, check out the Newspaper Library Guide's page on France.

The benefit of news databases is that you can find articles published in the past, whereas articles published on the news websites are usually only available for a limited time.

There are three major news databases subscribed to by the Library. For more in-depth guides on how to search in Factiva and Newsbank, check out their dedicated pages on the Newspaper Library Guide.
