Selected resources for students of music

Australian Musical News

The Australian Musical News documents musical life in Australia 1911-1963 with an emphasis on Melbourne. An excellent primary source, it contains advertisements and illustrations as well as articles. The Index to the Australian Musical News compiled by Lina Marsi is an important research tool.

Online journals

Journals, also referred to as serials, periodicals, or magazines often contain more up-to-date information than books. The majority listed here are available electronically and several are held in print as well.
